Lead Like Lincoln funder for Suzanne Ness, featuring Jan Schakowsky
Our very own Democratic State Representative Suzanne Ness reports: “We are thrilled to announce our esteemed guest speaker for this year’s Lead Like Lincoln Breakfast Fundraiser – Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky!”
Jan Schakowsky, a lifelong advocate for working- and middle-class families, began her advocacy as a young housewife, successfully campaigning for expiration dates on food products, including baby food and formula. As a Congresswoman since 1998, she continues to champion progressive causes at the grassroots level, focusing on environmental protection, healthcare access, women’s rights, immigration reform, and gun control. Jan resides in Evanston with her husband, Robert Creamer, and their two dogs, Franklin and Eleanor.
It’s Jan’s annual Lead Like Lincoln fundraising breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30am on Saturday October 14th, and you can count on a delicious brunch and an inspiring and rollicking good time.
