McHenry County’s Mental Health Board is one of the jewels of our community, providing critically needed funding to an array of nonprofit agencies which in turn provide services. Its purview includes mental health, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Leonetta Rizzi, the Board’s Executive Director, invites community members to the Board’s annual Town Hall Meeting. It’s at 5:00pm on Thursday May 9th, at the Board’s offices at 620 Dakota Street in Crystal Lake.
Connie Meschini, the board’s president, will welcome the community and present the Board and staff. The agenda will include three breakout sessions, and one conference room will be designated for Spanish-speaking residents. Sign language and other interpreters can also be made available on 48-hours notice. You can submit written testimony in advance or at the meeting by email to informationrequest@mc708.org.
It’s a golden opportunity to learn more about the Board and the critically-needed services it supports. Highly recommended.
